Japanese Orgonite Artist ”Rika”

【Message from RIKA, Orgonite Artist】

I am RIKA, an orgonite artist with a side as a dancer and dance instructor.

Since I was young, I have loved "cute things," "sparkly things," "beautiful things," and I've always had a passion for "creating."

My encounter with orgonite came about when my mother invited me, saying, "They say you can create really beautiful things called orgonites yourself. I'm sure you'll love it, Rika. Want to go together? It's also good for blocking electromagnetic waves."

At that time, I was spending my days working on a computer, so the idea of "blocking electromagnetic waves" intrigued me greatly. Furthermore, the thought of "creating beautiful things by myself!" made me sign up for a workshop without hesitation.

The first orgonites I made were cone-shaped and star-shaped for accessories. I enjoyed it so much that I tried making them at home. However, at that time, there weren't as many silicone molds available as there are now, and I had no knowledge of how to handle or the characteristics of resin. When I attempted larger projects, it turned into a series of "unbelievable failures" that are unthinkable now.

Because of that, I gave up making larger pieces and focused on creating accessories using small silicone molds.

One day, I found the website of Hiro☆, a sacred geometry artist who was creating beautiful orgonites from scratch without molds.

For me, who thought "I can't create without molds," the idea of "creating from molds" was incredibly appealing. Although I didn't fully understand sacred geometry, I was so excited that I couldn't stop thinking, "I'm definitely going to this person!"

Since meeting Hiro☆, my world has expanded dramatically. Not only has my approach to creating changed, but also my way of thinking.

Before, I was rigid and trapped by fixed ideas. Making orgonites allowed me to grant myself various permissions and release the energy blockages I had accumulated within myself.

Through orgonite, I feel like I've been able to release the stagnant energy that had built up within my rigid mindset.

• 2015: Encountered orgonite

• 2016: Met Hiro☆ and began creating sacred geometry orgonites

• Won the Grand Prize in the Orgonite Contest, Accessories and Extra categories, at Orgonite EXPO 2017
